Hello and welcome to my photography blog!
I’m a Designer, Photographer and artist from South Wales.
Landscape photography is a favourite of mine; it’s where I started with my love of photography. You can sit there for hours watching a scene change in front of you – and depending on what shot or mood you are looking for, its then you press the button. Obviously there’s a lot more that goes into the technical side of photography, the understanding to create the shot you’re looking for.
It is very important for me to capture emotion in my work, to give the viewer not only a scene to look at – but also the warmth, calmness and feeling that they are actually there. I want to capture different moods, so I won’t stick to the nice day shots – sometimes the best photos are those of big dramatic clouds, forces of nature and natural phenomena.
I am very lucky to have the Gower’s coastline, the Brecon Beacons and Carmarthenshire’s rolling hills on my doorstep, one of my favourite places is Broad Pool, Gower – you wouldn’t expect to achieve much at this location, but with the right conditions the views are spectacular.
Earlier this year I decided that now was the time to start developing my abilities as a portrait photographer, so you may see a lot of varied photography from time to time.
And maybe some paintings!
